Berne’s choreographic work is mostly influenced by movies and TV shows. Watching movies and TV shows at an early age made Berne build a love and an appreciation for narrative storytelling. Berne's narrative is subjective because it gets the audience to tap into their imaginative/fantasy side.

 Berne's work is characterized as dark, comedic, playful/quirky, and groovy/rhythmic. The physical movements incorporate elements from exaggerated facial expressions, nonsensical verbal noise, and movement variations, drawing from the genres of contemporary and physical theater.
